低年级学校的语言艺术课程集中在三个特定领域:口语, 阅读, 和写作. Oral language consists of speaking, listening, presenting and viewing skills. 阅读 consists of phonological and phonemic awareness skills; word study including spelling, 流利, vocabulary; and comprehension skills. 写作 consists of writing in a variety of forms and genres for different audiences; writing clearly and effectively; using the writing process; and analyzing and evaluating one’s writing. In addition to the three areas of focus, we also incorporate listening and viewing/visual literacy into the curriculum.
一、二年级
一年级和二年级的均衡读写课程包括有指导的和独立的阅读和写作, 和词汇学习.
